Performance Coaching
Stop fighting your ADHD brain.
Start working with it.

If you're capable, driven, and still feel like you're working harder than everyone else just to keep up, you're not the problem. You might just be running on systems that were never designed for how your brain works.

Wired differently. Perform exceptionally.

The problem
You're not underperforming.You're under-structured.
Constant urgency and burnout cycles

Work becomes driven by pressure rather than intention. Deadlines, last-minute pushes, and reactive workflows create short-term performance spikes followed by exhaustion and frustration.

Hover to exploreTap to explore
Executive function friction at work

Prioritisation, task initiation, and decision fatigue can quietly slow progress, even when motivation is high. The issue isn't capability. It's cognitive load without the right systems in place.

High potential, inconsistent output

You know what you're capable of, but maintaining consistency feels harder than it should. Strong bursts of performance are often followed by dips in momentum that are difficult to stabilise.

Feeling capable but overwhelmed

Externally successful yet internally stretched. Many professionals feel like they are constantly holding everything together rather than operating from a position of clarity and control.

Who TAPL is for
You've been fighting the
wrong battle.

No diagnosis required. Just a brain that's never quite fit the standard mould.

Tick the ones that land.

  • You're capable and intelligent, but your day-to-day performance doesn't yet reflect what you're capable of
  • You've tried every productivity system going and none of them stuck
  • You work harder than almost everyone around you, but feel further behind
  • Deadlines, meetings and switching tasks create a level of stress that feels disproportionate
  • You suspect your brain works differently, whether or not you have a formal diagnosis
  • You're tired of being told to "just focus" or "make a to-do list"
  • You want a system that works with how you think, not against it
Sound familiar?

TAPL was built for exactly this. Let's talk.

How we work

What we stand by.

Harnessed, Not Hyped

ADHD isn't a superpower by default. It can be a real source of strength and it can be crippling. Which one you get depends on whether you've learned to harness it.

Professional performance rests on equilibrium across the whole of life. The outcomes you came for are built on a life that can actually sustain them.

FAQs
You've got questions.
We've got answers.
No. Many of the professionals TAPL works with either don't have a formal diagnosis, are on a waiting list for one, or simply recognise that they think differently without having ever been assessed. What matters is whether the challenges resonate. Not what's on a piece of paper.
Coaching and therapy are fundamentally different. Therapy typically explores the past and emotional wellbeing. Coaching is present and future-focused. It's about building practical systems, improving performance, and creating sustainable change in how you work. TAPL is not a clinical service and does not provide diagnosis or treatment.
Sessions are structured but conversational, usually 40 minutes, conducted online. We'll map where the friction shows up, design systems specific to your working style, and build accountability structures that actually hold. We set actions.
Most clients notice a shift in clarity and structure within the first two or three sessions. Deeper, lasting change, the kind that becomes automatic, typically takes three to six months of consistent work. Coaching isn't a 'quick fix'. It's a transformative process that creates a psychological shift, and lasting change.
Yes. All sessions are conducted online, which means TAPL works with clients across time zones. If you're based outside the UK, get in touch and we'll find a session time that works for you.
That's one of the most common things we hear. Most coaching is built for neurotypical brains. It assumes you can just "decide" to change and follow through. TAPL is built differently. It accounts for the way ADHD and executive function challenges actually work, which is why it lands differently from generic coaching.
A personal note
Most people wait until things get bad.You don't have to.

I built TAPL because I'm like you. I know what it's like to be one of the 'smartest people in the room' and still feel like you're falling behind.

It was never about willpower or character.

It was the systems. And systems can be redesigned.

If anything on this page has felt uncomfortably familiar, you're exactly where you need to be. This is the starting point.

About TAPL

Built to turn potential into performance.

You're capable. You know you're capable. Everyone around you knows you're capable. So why does the gap between what you could be doing and what you're actually getting done feel impossible to close?

You've read the books. You've tried the systems. You've started Monday again forty times. The problem isn't motivation, isn't discipline, isn't intelligence. The problem is that everything you've been given was designed for a brain that isn't yours.

Meet your coach

The person behind the method.

Hi, I'm Dan. I coach business professionals, founders and entrepreneurs who have ADHD and are quietly running at a fraction of what they're capable of.

I know the feeling. I spent most of my life doing it.

Diagnosed in my late twenties, after years of focus problems, disorganisation, and being told I had 'so much potential, if only I'd apply myself'. A narrative far too many of us know.

I've spent almost a decade in corporate positions. Most recently, alongside my role as Mid-Market Account Executive at a leading Fortune 500 tech company, I led the Neurodiversity Team for EMEA and APAC.

That role taught me something the wellness content tends to skip. The corporate world was not designed with ADHD in mind, and it was not built to support it.

The awareness is growing. The infrastructure is playing catch-up.

So talented people burn out. They churn through jobs, second-guess their ability, and carry a quiet, permanent sense of being 'not good enough'. Not for lack of talent. Because the environment is often incompatible with brains that are 'wired differently'.

TAPL is the coaching practice I wish I'd had when I was diagnosed and couldn't find the right kind of help.

The work is practical, and deeply reflective. We go deep, stripping back the layers to uncover the root cause of the challenge.

Then we help you build the systems, strategies and frameworks to manage your ADHD in high-pressure environments.

And the harder, more valuable part: facilitating the rewiring of years of negative conditioning, and giving you the catalyst to reframe your ADHD. From a 'fault to hide' or 'problem to solve', to a way of thinking, and a strength to be leveraged with the right infrastructure in place.

Our goal is to help you discover and harness your 'why', unlock your performance and fulfilment, and create balance on your own terms.

What we believe

The performance gap is a wiring difference, not an effort problem.

What we believe

The performance gap for most ADHD professionals isn't about effort or intelligence. It's a wiring difference: a mismatch between how your brain processes information and the environments and systems most workplaces are built on.

TAPL exists to close that distance. Not with productivity hacks or willpower frameworks, but with deeply personalised systems designed for how you think, work, and perform.

Our approach

Everything at TAPL is grounded in executive function research and ADHD neuroscience, and delivered through ICF-aligned coaching methodology.

From there, the work follows a clear sequence: identifying your specific friction points, designing external systems to address them, and embedding those systems into daily practice.

Explore the approach →

Outside the work

Beyond the practice.

I live in Brighton, on the south coast. It's creative, vibrant and forward-thinking, which is a reflection of how I try to approach business, neurodiversity and life balance. A good place to think differently, turn ideas into something real, and switch off with a walk on the beach after a heavy week.

I'm a musician and producer. Drums since I was five, then a degree in music production. My taste runs to the louder end, pop-punk and metal mostly, and there isn't much I enjoy more than a sweaty rock gig. I'm also a recent and fully converted fantasy reader (my girlfriend's doing). A good book, a cold cider and a sunny beer garden is about as close to perfect as I get.

Finding the balance between work and play is a permanent work in progress. ADHD tends to come with big ambition and a habit of hyperfocusing on one at the total expense of the other. So I make switching off the priority, not the afterthought. Whether that's a gig, a book, exercise, or just sitting and thinking.

Because you can't be fully 'on' without knowing how to be properly 'off'.

The first step

The discovery call is a conversation.

No pitch. If TAPL is the right fit, we'll work out where to start. If it isn't, I'll tell you honestly and try to point you somewhere useful.

TAPL Coaching

Coaching designed for
brains like yours.

Most coaching assumes you can just decide to change and follow through. TAPL is built differently. Every programme, every session, every system is designed around neuroscience and how ADHD brains actually work. Not how "they're supposed to".

01
The productivity apps

You set them up perfectly. Colour-coded, prioritised, meticulously organised. And then, gradually, abandoned. Because the system assumed you'd find the list motivating. You don't. Nobody told you that's not a character flaw.

02
The time management courses

Time-blocking, deep work schedules, morning routines. They worked for about eleven days. Then one disruption unravelled everything. Because they assumed your brain perceives time the way most people do. It doesn't.

You've been trying harder your entire career. You work longer hours than almost everyone around you. You're exhausted from compensating. Harder is not the answer. Different is.

04
The generic coaching
Hover to read
Sound familiar?

You've sat opposite coaches who gave you frameworks that made sense in the room and dissolved by Wednesday. Because they were designed for neurotypical brains. TAPL is not that.

The distance between your capability and your output is not a motivation problem. It's a 'poorly designed system' problem. And systems can be rebuilt.
Why coaching works

This isn't about fixing you.
It's about designing systems that work for you.

ADHD isn't a deficit of intelligence or will. It's a difference in how the brain activates. Coaching builds the external systems that close that distance.

Unlike courses or content, coaching adapts entirely to you: your role, your working style, your exact friction patterns. Nothing generic enters the room.

For many people with ADHD, external accountability isn't a crutch. It's neurologically necessary. Coaching provides a consistent, structured source of that activation.

TAPL's methodology draws on executive function research and the neuroscience of ADHD in adult professional life.

Professionals, business owners, founders and entrepreneurs navigating real complexity. This is a specific performance context. TAPL works exclusively in that space. Not students, not general wellbeing. Performance.

The difference

Other coaching wasn't built for brains like yours.

What you've tried
Other coaching
  • Assumes you can decide and follow through
  • Assumes accountability alone is enough
  • Built for neurotypical executive function
  • Generic frameworks applied to your context
What works
TAPL
  • Designs systems for when decision alone isn't enough
  • Accounts for the mechanics of why follow-through stalls
  • Built around how ADHD brains actually process
  • Bespoke architecture built around your role
The approach

How we typically begin.

This isn't about fixing what's broken. It's about uncovering how you actually work, and building from there. Here's the shape it usually takes, though no two journeys run the same.

Surface
Sessions
1–3

We surface the core challenges together, using workflows like friction mapping alongside groundwork on your values and executive function strengths. From the first session, we start working on what matters most.

Exploration
Sessions
4–6

We dig deeper into the challenges and the factors underneath them: the schemas and conditioning that quietly shape how you see your work, and yourself. The fuller picture comes into view.

Iteration
Sessions
7–9

We refine, iterate and optimise strategies based on how they are translating in your world, keeping what lands and reworking what doesn't. Theory becomes habit through repetition and adjustment.

Execution
Sessions
10–12

We lock in what's working, let go of what isn't, and define your path forward. You leave with a clear read on your patterns and a roadmap to carry it on.

Underpinning every phase are weekly actions, working through your friction points from the most impactful down. Beyond these twelve sessions the work becomes cyclical, and it deepens rather than ends.

How coaching programmes work+

All coaching runs as a 12-week programme. Foundation is 6 sessions, Pro and Business are 12. The programme has a defined start and end.

The 12 weeks exist for a delivery reason. Meaningful change in executive function is not typically visible in four sessions, and the early phase of coaching surfaces patterns rather than resolving them. Twelve weeks gives the work enough runway to be judged fairly.

Ending a programme early is possible on 7 days notice, with an early exit fee. Full terms are set out in the Coaching Services Agreement, which we send before you commit to anything.

Payment is by direct debit, either in three monthly instalments or in full at the start if you take the discounted option.

FAQs
Before you book,
you probably want to know.
A discovery call is a 30-minute conversation. We'll talk through what's actually going on, where the friction shows up, and whether TAPL is likely to be the right fit. You'll leave with clarity on what working together would look like. If it's not a fit, we'll say so.
TAPL is premium coaching for professionals, business owners and entrepreneurs who are serious about performance. It runs as a 12-week programme, not a subscription: Foundation is £1,650 (6 sessions) and Pro is £2,850 (12 sessions), each payable in full at a discount or in three monthly instalments. Both include full Performance Hub Plus access for the programme. Business is scoped and priced individually. If you'd like to keep a lighter check-in after the 12 weeks, Maintenance is available from £350 a month. The programme cards set out exactly what each tier includes, and we'll help you choose the right fit on a discovery call.
Often, yes. Many senior professionals fund TAPL through learning and development budgets, leadership development programmes, or reasonable adjustment allocations. If you need a proposal to share with HR or a line manager, we can provide one. Most employers view coaching as an investment in retention and performance.
TAPL Pro suits people who want the full programme: four sessions a month, full Performance Hub Plus access, and video and voice support between sessions answered within one working day. Foundation is the lighter-intensity option: the same 12-week programme with two sessions a month and messages answered within two working days. Both include full Performance Hub Plus access, and with it the complete Workflow library. If you're unsure, mention both on the discovery call and we'll work out which fits your situation.
Fit matters. If it becomes clear within the first few sessions that TAPL isn't the right approach for you, we'll have an honest conversation and end the engagement. No drawn-out exits. The discovery call exists precisely to minimise this risk before it happens, but the door is never locked behind you.
TAPL's methodology draws on established executive function and ADHD neuroscience research, delivered through ICF-aligned coaching. Dan is a Certified ADHD Professional Coach through the 3C Activation® methodology, and works exclusively with ADHD professionals, business owners and entrepreneurs, drawing on his own lived experience of ADHD and almost a decade in senior corporate roles. This is not a side specialism. It's the whole practice.
The first step

You don't need to have it
figured out before you get in touch.

The discovery call is a conversation, not a pitch. We'll talk about where the friction shows up, whether TAPL is the right fit, and what working together would look like. No obligation. No pressure.

All sessions are conducted online. TAPL works with clients across the UK and internationally.

You don't need a diagnosis to experience this

Executive function challenges are far more common than ADHD diagnoses, and they show up in highly intelligent, deeply capable professionals every day. If you recognise yourself in this page, TAPL was built for you.

Executive function is the set of cognitive processes that allow us to plan, prioritise, initiate, and follow through on tasks: to manage our time, regulate our emotions under pressure, and hold multiple things in mind while doing complex work.

These processes live primarily in the prefrontal cortex and are central to almost everything a professional does. When they work well, they're invisible. When they're challenged by ADHD, stress, burnout, or neurological variation, the distance between your capability and your output can feel enormous and inexplicable.

Crucially: executive function challenges exist on a spectrum. You don't need an ADHD diagnosis to experience meaningful friction in these areas, and you don't need to identify as neurodivergent for TAPL's approach to be exactly right for you.

Initiation & getting started

Difficulty beginning tasks, even ones you want to do and know are important. Often misread as procrastination or laziness, when it's actually a neurological activation challenge.

🎯
Focus & sustained attention

Struggling to maintain concentration on demanding cognitive work, particularly in environments with competing stimuli or low intrinsic interest.

🔄
Prioritisation & planning

Difficulty identifying and consistently acting on what's most important, not for lack of intelligence, but because the salience signals that make priorities feel urgent are unreliable.

🧠
Working memory

Challenges holding multiple threads in mind simultaneously while doing complex work, leading to dropped balls, missed context, and feeling overwhelmed even when the actual workload isn't extreme.

Time perception & management

A fundamentally different relationship with time, where future deadlines don't create present urgency, and hours can disappear without registering until it's too late.

🌊
Emotional regulation under pressure

Heightened reactivity to frustration, rejection, or overwhelm, and difficulty returning quickly to a regulated, productive state once triggered.

No. TAPL works with professionals who experience executive function challenges, with or without a formal ADHD diagnosis, and with or without a neurodivergent identity.

What matters is whether you recognise these patterns in yourself, and whether you're ready to build systems that actually work for your brain. The diagnostic question is for clinicians. The performance question is what we work on.
